Trust your need for help

Trust your need for help

When one has all these doubts and uncertainties, because nothing really works, the only true response is one of humility.  Thinking you have certain answers is just an illusion.  One should be humbled by this.  This humility creates the need for help.  Following this need for help might lead some to ask “is there a maker” and “can I get help from such an entity?”  Since all human solutions have been tried and haven’t succeeded, relief has to come from another source.  After eliminating various sources, one comes eventually to the right source, a God, a real  God.  This can be a long path of questioning, discovering, testing, and feeling.  But if there is a solution, it should be consistent, and at the end of the road it should be the same for all of us, or for all of us who look.  There are many detours and obstacles and stop off points along the way.  Your need for help, free uncompromising help, is your only directive towards the right source.

This resonates with me. I'm packing up one house which has been sold as part of my late husband's estate and moving valuables and art to my own house about 8 miles away. While my helpers are very good, they are unreliable time-wise. My daughter and I are packing and loafing my SUV for repeaed trips back and forth. Space needs to be made in one house to make room for stuff from this house.

Out of room - as said, this is hard, heavy, back breaking work. Two if my workers are now half hour late throwing off a well-planned scheduled. Will write later about getting/ asking for help but it ain't easy - the asking or the getting!

well, your's is a very nuts and bolts need for help....hard to count on people, places, and things today. try not to hurt or strain yourself. you've realized its a situation not going well, now make peace with the craziness of it so u can calm down. hope not sounding preachy, but just saying what makes sense on all levels. there is a panic in life today at least for some of us. calm will come. s

Yes, sometimes you have to just ask for help. My guys did show up and we worked til after 6:30. I think the hardest part is realizing I just don't have the tremendous physical strength I once had. I used to be able to do anything. Now, not so much. But we got a lot done. Very disappointed, tho, I seem to have lost my little red book that was part of my thesis. Do you remember it? One of my best works of art & writing. Oh well.

well u got thru and got something done. yes I recall the book and that is tragic. too many of your works are gone and that is a loss.
they were so good. the ones that remain are great. alert whoever takes the house over to be on the lookout and even offer a reward maybe.

The book should be @ my house not the one being sold. But I had some work done at my house when s was very ill so I couldn't supervise and the workers were exceedingly sloppy in moving things around. I've found lots of stuff, but not the book which I'd like to have. Just another lesson I guess. I get very upset when art is "lost." I have two of your portraits and you should tell me what you'd like me to do with them. I think you shoukd have them
