Systems, patterns, and understanding
New understanding
Each new understanding, either spiritual, metaphysical or physical, revamps everything that has preceded it. It is almost a dissolving phenomenon. You are left with a new solution, and everything before is not seen in the same light.
This is counter intuitive. We are used to accumulative actions, one premise built upon the back of the previous premise. Advanced mathematics all emerges from the equation ‘1 = 1.’ Scholarship comes from evidence and careful thought refined over generations. Crafts were built over centuries as were the arts.
But this is not how deep understanding works. Any real new understanding wipes out everything before. The old is not discarded, but the new has its own rules and premises that change understanding forever.
