What is Work?
The man, Dave, who used to scan my drawings before I bought my own scanner, used to encourage conversation. One day we were talking about the true nature of work. I said few people understood what work really is. I used to hear women say they wanted exciting, interesting, fun jobs. On the other hand men either saw work as a mission or as a way to get rich.
I didn't understand work in my younger years. I was project oriented. Then when I went through a rocky period, I eventually understood it. I had to.
So I said to Dave work is simply "giving up part of your life in order to live."
