One Chance
Allan was a huge man, over 6'6", about 380 or more. Yet he had a sweet face, a sweet disposition, and women liked him. Before he was semi-settled he used to be a player. Not the swiftest or slickest, but he had his own game. This was when he was young. When I met him, he was married, working two jobs, had one of his own kids, and two of hers, plus a grand kid. All this before he was forty. Survival has dictated I make friends across the board.
In life we are often attracted to what we are not. He liked to give dating advice. I went along. Upon when correcting what I had said to a woman when asking her out, he said in a painful manner you know, you usually get only one chance with a woman."
