629. Past Observations They seem complete There are certain people in life, such as my friend Ruth, or a high school classmate Tom, who are very self-contained. They don't seem reflective or have the need to connect with others. They have an independent orbit. They don't seem to question. Perhaps it's because their needs were met from family. But as far as an observer can see, they seem complete in their own way.

Observations No rock here There is no rock here. Instability rules. Only way out is through a yearning for the above. 497. Past Principles Life If one falls.........  If one falls....
Today one is on edge all the time. One slip up with a registration, tax form or your health could cause everything in your life to tumble. Yet, despite it all, these domino chips do look perky and alive. 582. Past Observations (sketch from years ago, biking with a neighbor)  580. Past
Observations Whatever has happened More and more what I have to say is inadequate based on right and wrong principles that no longer apply. And why bother if people can't change and behavior doesn't modify? Whatever has happened or has not is too powerful for words to penetrate. 575. Past
Observations Voice It seems money and power determine how loud a voice one can have. 566.
Observations No place As you get older there is less of a place for you on earth as you see the selfishness and the arrogance beneath most behavior and you find it hard to align yourself with any of it. 565.
Observations Blind I'm like a blind man unable to see the light from God or the help from man and my own antenna can't fully be trusted just like a blind man unable to see. 433. Past
0bservations A longing With time, appreciating nature itself, its beauty, its workings, while enthralling, is still not enough, not the biggest picture. What is amazing is that we can be “amazed” at it. But being amazed at something implies being separated from it. We are from another place. This realization of beauty makes us aware of this other place. We are thankful but still separated. For a moment we share with beauty this other place, but then it is gone. We have to move on. We are left with a longing. 519. Past
Observations An adequate comfort level I observed that people who have an adequate comfort level will do anything to keep it. People without an adequate comfort level have to work at building it. If you don’t have it but think that you do, that illusion can cost you dearly. This happens to many of us. |
